Five Star Cleaning has helped major multi-national Glanbia achieve an ‘A’ grade cleanliness standard at its Portlaoise oats mill for the third year in a row.
This means we have maintained exceptional cleanliness there right from when the mill began operation in early 2013. We had already maintained the existing portions of the Glanbia plant in Portlaoise for more than ten years prior to that, and so they were confident in engaging us as cleaners for the new oats mill that we would bring the same high standards there.
By achieving an ‘A’ grade in the annual Hygiene Foods Safety Authority audit every year since then, we have certainly repaid their trust in us.
The Portlaoise oats mill produces premium gluten-free products, largely for export to the USA under the ‘McCann’s Irish Oatmeal’ brand. Our work there sees us clean the large silos at six-monthly intervals, and also conduct regular checks and cleaning of all production equipment and machinery (internally and externally) as well as general cleaning and hygiene operations. Check-sheets and other thorough reporting methods are used at all times, to ensure ultimate transparency and accountability.
‘We are delighted to have once again achieved an ‘A’ grade for our valued clients Glanbia,’ said Adrian Woods, CEO, Five Star Cleaning. ‘This is testament to the great work of our staff there, and to Glanbia’s great trust in us and co-operation with us.’
We look forward to maintaining the ‘A’ grade for many more years to come!
